Tigerlily Foundation
The Tigerlily educates people on the seriousness of breast cancer in younger women. The organization advocates for new laws that require health professionals to help in raising awareness, promoting early diagnosis, and implementing treatment plans for young cancer patients. The founder, Maimah Karmo, was diagnosed with breast cancer at 32 years old and had a harsh battle with health care professionals that resulted in saving her own life.
Sankofa International Inc.
Sankofa International Inc., is a U.S. based nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization that assists in the enhancement of the quality of lives of Africans living in Africa. By coordinating “life changing” activities to enhance Africa awareness throughout the world, Sankofa will serve as the conduit whereby those within and outside the Sankofa family will be touched to the degree that they become and remain committed to regularly support Sankofa sponsored grass-root related initiatives that uplift mother Africa and help the needy in Africa.
